Russia

Russia was officially called the Russian Federation and was one of the most prominent republics of the Soviet Union before its collapse in December 1991. The capital, Moscow, is the political center because it contains the residence of the President. Duma is also the main economic center of the government and the country. The Russian language is the official language of the country, and most of its residents do not profess any religion, but there is a percentage of those who accept Orthodox Christianity in addition to the presence of Muslims and other Christians, and the official language is the Russian ruble.

 It extends from Eastern Europe to Northern Asia and is adjacent to nine time zones. Cities west of the Urals and bordering Europe are called European Russia due to their proximity and political and cultural similarities. Russia has 1000 major cities, with a population of 142,257,519 according to the statistics of 2017, the largest and most populous city is the capital, Moscow, and 2018 statistics show that its population is close to 12.41 million.   Saint Petersburg follows in terms of overcrowding. Next is Novosibirsk, then Yekaterinburg, then Novgorod, then Samara.

Russian economy

   Russia is one of the world's largest oil and natural gas producers, as well as the nickel, lumber, chemical and military industries. Among the most important characteristics of the socialist state economy, is based on state ownership of all firms, and the lack of private productive capital. The Russian ruble depreciated under the influence of the Asian financial market crisis, but by 2001 it quickly recovered from the crisis and is now a major trading partner.  In countries such as Germany, Ukraine, China, and Italy, we export our products and import machinery, equipment, consumer goods, medicine, meat, sugar, and metal products.

Russian climate

Because of the large area of ​​Russia, it is difficult to generalize the climate, but it can be said that the climate is continental, that is, the summer is warm and hot, the winter is very cold, and the temperature can drop. Heavy snow at -30°C.  The precipitation is concentrated in the western region, where the annual precipitation reaches 750 mm, while the southern and southeastern regions are simple areas with low rainfall, where the annual precipitation reaches 200 mm. 

Europe The central and northern regions of Russia have diverse climates. The region along the Baltic Sea has a temperate climate. A common feature of the climate in all regions is that summers are dry and hot, with the potential for thunderstorms and thunderstorms. The afternoon, evening, and winter periods are the same as in other regions, but the climate in Russia is very cold, with frosts and snow waves, and unstable in spring and autumn, with the possibility of rain and strong winds. 

The Siberian climate is cold and harsh in winter, temperatures can drop to -35 ° C. Summer is warm with an average precipitation of 500 mm, most of which falls in spring and autumn.

Europe The winters in the south of Russia are short, and in the southeastern steppes the summers are hot and dry, and the winters very cold. The area around the Black Sea is influenced by the Mediterranean climate, with warm winters and rain all year round.

  •  The Tretyakov Gallery is one of the most famous in Russia because it is the home of Russian art. This gallery was built in the 19th century.
  • Diamond chest, the chest that holds the crown jewel.
  • The Bolshoi Theater, the meaning of its name is impressive. Built-in 1825. This theater replaced the Petrovka Theatre, which was subjected to fire and destruction. The theater features several world-class plays, including Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake.
  • Caesar's Bell and Caesar's Cannon. The bell was built in the 18th century, while the cannon was built at the end of the 16th century.
  • Armory Museum was built in the 19th century to store royal arms.
  • Kolomensky and the plains along the Moskva River.
